Required Prerequisites

In order to be eligible for College Credit Plus programs or courses, students must have the following minimum scores from the ACT and/or the Accuplacer (Reading and Writing), and/or ALEKS (Math):

ACT Placement Scores:

• 18 English
• 22 Reading

Accuplacer Placement Scores:

• 80-120 Reading
• 6-8 Writing

ALEKS Placement Scores:

• N/A unless a Math course is offered.

Students are strongly encouraged to take practice writing, reading, and math tests.

• Practice ACT items are available at: www.actstudent.org/testprep
• Practice Accuplacer and ALEKS information can be obtained from building counselors.

Once eligibility is established, students can begin the Accelerated Learning Center application process. For more information about the application process, see your school counselor.
